Nighttime Dallas Skyline reflected in the Flooded Trinity River

We've had a ton of rain in the metroplex the past couple of days. As a result of that rain the Trinity River that runs past downtown Dallas is fairly swollen. I was really surprised that I was the only photographer out there tonight. Usually when there is no wind and the Trinity is flooded there are always a few photographers down there getting this shot.

Fireworks in Downtown Dallas

I had just finished covering an assignment at the Meyerson Symphony Center and noticed crews setting up fireworks along the sidewalk while walking back to my car. I had to wait two hours for them to shoot them off, but it was worth it to be able to frame them with two huge Dallas skyscrapers on either side.
